Once you get this Secura Turbo Oven you dont want to use your old oven toaster anymore!  
I have owned this Secura Turbo Oven for a couple of months. Im falling in love with this oven since the first use. And I use it mostly everyday! I can not live without this oven anymore seriously. And since I bought it my old toasters become dirt collectors. And I finally realize that I dont need them anymore. The money I spent on this oven is well worth it. Before I always think I should buy everything cheapest to save money but now I really glad I purchased this oven and make me happy and enjoy our every meal this is the most important thing in our life. My every meal comes perfect with this oven. I also enjoy very much the whole process of cooking the light the transparent glass bowl... Well done Secura! Im very happy to find they have the accessory parts since Im a grill lover Im gonna buy one set. Hope it will be more fun to cooking with it:))..

Easy and fun to cook  
We have not dinning out once since we had this oven. Cooking food is fun and easy now. I can see the food sizzling in front of my eyes and oil dripping down to the bottom. We eat more meat knowing that less fat is left in the food. I am glad I bought this. There is a pre-heat button we use a lot. It works like a one key start button without setting cooking time and temp. and then press start button. It is very convenient especially when time is short. We also put some Aluminum foil at the bottom of the glass bowl during cooking and throw away after cooking with oil and fat collected on it. The Ultimate Convection Oven  
Roasted Chicken with Root Vegetables and Mushroom Sauce

This dish was the first recipe I cooked in the Secura countertop convection oven. As a professional chef I was amazed at the final product and so was my test audience. The skin of the chicken crisped with the same texture and taste as a Rotisserie machine I often noticed on the streets of Paris France.

While the skin crisps to a golden brown the internal juices of the chicken bubble away cooking the meat in a self-contained manner. The Excess fat cooked off the chicken and settled under the holding rack saving over 100 grams of fat or 900 calories from my meal.

This meal is perfect for a family of four who have stringent financial and time budgets. The total cost of the dish was $12 and required only a small pan to warm the mushroom sauce. Great Product / Bad Reliability  
The 798DH is one amazing little product. Ive loved it the entire time Ive owned mine which was about 8 months. I bought the product in late December of 09 and Yesterday 8/7/10 the bulb burned out and there is no way to replace the heating element. Your only option is to purchase a new one and I cant see spending $150+ on a new one that may or may not last over 6 months to a year. Luckily I paid $100 for mine as it was on sale at the time of purchase. Its just very unfortunate the bulbs cant be replaced because this is a fantastic unit otherwise.

The best thing about this unit was that it did NOT smoke... I cant tell you how important a feature this is for any turbo oven. I live in an apartment with no outside fan for the stove and got so sick of the house fogging and smoking up. This unit solved that problem. The unit cooked everything wonderfully except for maybe really odd things like large canned biscuits although it cooks the smaller ones just fine.

Art and performance meet  
When I first saw this oven to be honest I am a little bit skeptical. I am glad the designer of this appliance made this oven look good and fancy but is it a serious cookware?? Did they sacrifice the performance to after the good looking? I glad I gave it a try. The results are super!! I kind of feel like it cooks faster and better than all of our previous ovens. The most amazing thing about this oven is all food cooked the top surface is tasty and crispy. I usually turn the food over during cooking so the bottom is as good as the top. If you want your food to be even crispier you can put a little piece like a spoon in between the glass bowl and lid to keep a small opening when cooking. This will drive all moisture out of the food if this is what you want. And this oven is also easy to use and clean. If you are looking for a countertop oven give this a try. well worth the money  
I ordered my Secura oven after much research. It arrived on Saturday an unexpected plus. Two days previous I had put dry rub on a roast and dropped it into a vacuum saver bag to percolate. When my turbo convection oven arrived I used it to cook the roast per plan. I was hoping it would turn out well and it really did.

the roast turned out better than any I ever had before; flavorful moist and tender.

The construction of the oven was quality the lid and bowl of the oven are both glass. I used aluminum foil to line the bottom as someone had suggested. the rack I used came clean easily.

My only criticism is the $[...] accessory kit which may not really be of that much benefit.

When the roast is gone i plan to try chicken breasts...yum. : 2010-09-15 08:53:43
